The Public Domain Radio is the first Internet radio service that broadcasts free historical recordings. Mainly sound material from shellac discs.

The service is part of a charity foundation.

Radio streams

The station started broadcasting on 11 December 2009.

  • 128 kbit/s (16.0 KBytes/s) 44.1 kHz Stereo

  • 660 kbit/s (82.5 KBytes/s) 44.1 kHz Stereo (FLAC test stream on Icecast)

The database of the Public Domain is the beating heart of the project. It contains the list of all works.
