For the trouble-free operation of the Public Domain Project we need various computers in our headquarter office in Küsnacht and multiple servers in a data center located in the city of Zurich. The monthly financial costs are expensive to provide you a free download of lossless audio files and financing the operation costs of our project. Please help us with a donation. Thank you very much!

Infrastructure

Rack space

Our rack space currently includes 6U. A rack unit is sponsored by Init Seven Ltd., which is also the sponsor of the bandwith for the Public Domain Radio. The disk array uses 4U and the jukebox server of the internet radio 2U.

Server

The sponsored disk array by Restorm.com includes a Coraid Linux NAS gateway CLN21 and a Coraid EtherDrive SR1521 (15 Disk storage appliance). The disk storage is currently equipped with ten Seagate Barracuda ES.1 750 GB SATA II-hard drives (ST3750640NS) and is expandable to fourteen disks.

Our IBM eServer xSeries 336 are equipped with two Intel Xeon processors and allows the use of multi-channel audio streaming without upgrading additional rack space. All services will be virtualized with Oracle VM VirtualBox.
